I have lived in Central Virginia most of my life.  Currently, I live in Buckingham County with my husband and our four children that we educate at home.  My life can become quite busy, but I am slowly learning to balance the callings that God has placed upon me: wife, mother, teacher and artist.  I find that when I encourage others to develop the artistic gift God has given them, that I am encouraged to become the artist God wants me to be. 

My earlier paintings are acrylic, but now I paint with oils on stretched canvas wrapped around the edges of a wooden framework.  They are small (8x10, 5x7, 4x5) and often compared to patterned fabric because of the way I paint them.  I use layers of painted lines to create color, depth, and texture.  This does take time, but it is time for me to be still and focus on God, listen as He speaks to my heart, and worship Him.

My artwork is a reflection of my life and relationship with God.  I am inspired by His word and His creation.  It is my prayer that my artwork will be a blessing to others and that it will glorify God.
